You are welcome anytime to come in and have a beverage and enjoy our space . Once the axes are put away, you are welcome to play cornhole.

+ What are your hours?

Booking for private events such as birthdays, bachelor/ bachelorette parties, corporate team building etc. are able to be booked upon request and subject to availability. If it is outside of our normal hours, please contact us.

The booking process can be done entirely online. + How does payment work?

There is NO prepayment required. We accept cash, debit as well as all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice ahead of your scheduled booking that you need to cancel or reschedule. If your group size increases or decreases significantly, we ask that you please let us know, so we can adjust accordingly.

+ Is there parking?

Uptown Saint John parking rates apply, off hours/weekends are free.

+ What are the minimum and maximum group sizes for event bookings?

The recommended group size per lane is minimum 2 and max 8. Please inquire for more details.

+ What clothing and shoes should I wear?

Close toed shoes are mandatory. No sandals or flip flops and high heels are not recommended.

A loose fitting top is recommended to allow unrestricted motion.

+ What is a typical booking like?

A typical booking lasts for 1.5 or 2.5 hours, depending on the group size and desired time. Your session will start with hands on professional instruction and safety talk from one of our professional coaches. Special event booking typically lasts 2.5 hours; we encourage you to contact us for special event requests.

+ Will someone show us how to throw an axe?

Yes! Our trained professional staff will give you a brief orientation at the beginning of your event where you will be shown the proper and safe way to throw the axe. Our staff will remain on hand to ensure safety and to provide tips and tricks throughout your event.

+ List of Rules

  1. All groups participate in an axe-throwing training period to begin their booking.
  2. Excessive alcohol intake will not be tolerated.
  3. Employees reserve the right to cut off anyone from drinking and throwing axes
  4. Alcohol to be kept in a specific area, outside of the throwing lanes.
  5. Safety procedures regarding axe-throwing will be clearly posted, demonstrated, and adhered to.

+ Do you provide all the equipment?

Yes! We provide a World Axe Throwing League sanctioned axe suitable for all throwing abilities. Targets are made of East Coast Poplar to meet the World Axe Throwing league regulations. More info can be found at www.worldaxethrowingleague.com

+ Are Kids allowed to throw?

YES! We allow minors (10 to 18 years of age) to participate! Each group must be accompanied by an adult and their booking must end by 8PM. Minors are to be offsite by 8pm.

+ Is it safe?

It is completely safe and we are very strict in making sure that everyone is throwing the axe in a safe manner. We have a zero tolerance policy for excessive drinking. Our Throwing Coaches reserve the right to discontinue axe throwing privileges to anyone, at any time for any reason if they deem necessary without refund.

+ Can I bring my own axe?

Event participants must use the axes provided by Woodchucks Axe Throwing Inc. During League play, approved WATL regulation axes can be used by participants.
